Prolong: Understanding Premature Ejaculation
A cure to premature ejaculation is considered by many to be the “holy grail” of sexual enhancement. Of course, those who suffer from impotence and ED are not looking for this particular solution, but premature ejaculation may be effectively treated with products like Prolong. Prolong is a lubricating gel which also numbs erogenous zones in order to increase the amount of time required to achieve ejaculation or orgasm. Many consumers are concerned about applying topical anesthetics, as this may result in a loss of performance. For most Prolong buyers, however, this perceived loss of performance creates an increased period of sexual activity, which raises the psychological benefits of sex. Prolong, as a numbing gel may also cause the loss of erection, since the surface of the penis is numbed by application of this lubricant. Prolong stands out as a lubricating gel, while other products are communicated via spray, and may not be effective as a sexual lubricant.
Clearly, preventing orgasm will encourage an increased period of arousal, thereby increasing the amount of time expected for intercourse. This is the primary indication of Prolong. Prolong is extends sexual intercourse by numbing erogenous zones with the application of benzocaine. Benzocaine is often used in dental creams and gels in order to numb pain associated with various dental problems. Although Prolong is not indicated as a relief for pain in erogenous zones, it does decrease the amount of sensation in general.
Prolong is applied to the shaft of the penis, and any other zones indicated as safe for application. There is some risk of applying Prolong too frequently, as this may result in blood poisoning. Since the amount of benzocaine contained in Prolong is only 5%, there is little risk of exposure to the blood as long as the instructions provided are followed to the letter. Despite this risk Prolong is safe compared to a variety of oral or topical anesthetics used before, during, or after sex.
Since the effect of Prolong is direct, and is 100% effective in those who are not allergic to benzocaine, Prolong is a reliable product. Prolong does treat premature ejaculation in those whose orgasms are induced too quickly as a result of overwhelming and immediate sexual pleasure. In other cases, Prolong may not be as effective. The most obvious concern for those using this product is the decrease in direct stimulation to the penis and vagina, since the lubricant will come into contact with a variety of erogenous zones during sexual intercourse.
